Cohomology of quantum groups and quantum automorphism groups of finite graphs, October 8 - 12, 2018

The idea of the workshop is to bring together people who are interested in Cohomology of quantum groups and Quantum automorphism groups of finite graphs. Our aim is to collect present knowledge as well as discuss recent progress and open questions related to those topics. Further details

Theory and Numerics of kinetic equations May 28 - 30, 2018

This year the seventh Workshop on Theory and Numerics of kinetic equations takes place at the Saarland University. Seven international speakers will present current research on the theory and numerics for the kinetic models for plasmas, semiconductors and the Boltzmann equation together with their applications. However, other kinetic models and questions are also welcomed in the contributed sessions.Further details

BEM on the Saar, 29-31 May 2017

This year the fifth Workshop on Boundary Element Methods (BEM) takes place at the Saarland University. Six international speakers will present current research on numerics of partial differential equations and their efficient treatment. A special focus lies on fast solution techniques, domain decomposition, new discretization strategies and adaptive as well as high-order methods. Further details

Homotopy probability theory, 4-8 September 2017

Homotopy probability theory is a recent development, which enriches the notion of an algebraic probability space with ideas from algebraic homotopy theory. Topological data analysis, and in particular persistent homology, comprises a set of methods from algebraic topology in order to determine topological features of a data space at various scales. The aim of the workshop is to bring together people from those different fields and to discuss possible interactions and further developments and applications of the theories. Further details
