I am a PhD student of Gabriela Weitze-Schmithüsen (Saarland University) and Alice Niemeyer (RWTH Aachen). My research is funded by the SFB-TRR 195 Symbolic Tools in Mathematics and their Application. I am a member of the Integrated Research Training Group of the SFB-TRR 195 and a scholar of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.

My primary research interests are in geometry and group theory. I like thinking about questions that connect a geometric setting with group theory. At the moment, I am mainly working with translation surfaces (in particular square-tiled surfaces) and $$p$$-groups.

### Preprints:

• Veech Groups and Sums of Lyapunov Exponents of $$2$$-Origamis (in preparation)
• Regular origamis with totally non-congruence groups as Veech groups,
to appear in Proceedings of the 3rd BYMAT Conference 2020, [arXiv]
• Strata of $$p$$-Origamis (with Johannes Flake, 2020) [arXiv]

### Teaching:

Saarland University:

• Winter 2018/19: Lineare Algebra I (Teaching Assistant of Prof. Gabriela Weitze-Schmithüsen)

RWTH Aachen:

• Summer 2021: Begleitpraktikum II
• Winter 2020/21: Lineare Algebra I (Teaching Assistant of Prof. Alice Niemeyer)
• Winter 2015/16: Analysis I (Teaching Assistant of Prof. Sebastian Walcher)
• Summer 2014: Stochastics I (Teaching Assistant of Prof. Maria Kateri)

### Outreach

I helped organizing various annual outreach events for high school students at Saarland University:

• competition "Tag der Mathematik",
• workshop during the UniCamp,
• stand of the math department at the Open House.

As a mentor in the program MentoMINT, I supported female high school students interested in math and sciences when choosing their field of study after high school.
