Passing of an exam

To be permitted to write the exam, you need to acquire 50 % of the achievable points in the exercise sheets and you need to pass more than half of the unannounced short quizzes which are written in the lecture or the exercises (there will be 5 to 7 of those).

There will be two exercise groups, group 1 held by Marc Hermes in lecture room III and group 2 held by Maximillian Müller in seminar room 2 . You can find your exercise group here. If there is any problem, please notify langendo@math.uni-sb.de as fast as possible.

The timeslots for the consultation hours are Monday, 1 pm and Thursday, 12 pm.

In the exercise groups, the solutions of the exercise sheets will be presented. Also, you can ask questions about the lecture, about the grading of the exercise sheets and general questions about the exercise sheets.
The exercise groups will be held fortnightly on thursdays alternating with the lecture. The schedule which is currently planned is the following:

Unfortunately, the exercise sheets are only available in German. The 0th exercise sheet is a presence exercise which will be discussed in the first exercise group and which will not be handed in. Starting with the first exercise sheet, you should hand in your solutions on tuesdays, before the lecture in the letterboxes Nr. 3 and 4 in front of the Zeichensaal. The letterboxes are marked with the names of the exercise group tutors. Due to the holiday on the first of May, the second exercise sheet should be handed in on wednesday, second of may at 10 o'clock. However, if you'd like your sheet to be marked until the following thursday, you should hand it in until Monday, 12 o'clock.
