The weighted projective space ℙ = ℙ(2,2,3,3,3,3) can be embedded into a ℙ13 using the very ample line bundle Oℙ(6). This procedure computes the image of a projective variety in ℙ(2,2,3,3,3,3) under this embedding and the corresponding map on coordinate rings. We can examine the image variety in a standard projective space to decide whether the original variety is smooth or not.
