Content
The lecture will be an introduction into the theory of locally convex spaces. Many spaces occuring in Analysis, including spaces of analytic functions, spaces of differentiable functions and their dual spaces, carry a natural topology which is not generated by a single norm, but rather by a family of norms or seminorms. It turns out that appropriate versions of the most important theorems from functional analysis still hold true in this more general setting. We also consider applications on important function spaces and distributions in this lecture.
